WKU Police Find Student Suicide at Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity Residence

After conducting an investigation, the WKU Police Department has concluded that the recent student fatality at the WKU Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity house was a suicide.
On Wednesday, February 7, the WKU Police Department received notification from the Bowling Green Police Department regarding the discovery of a deceased individual at the fraternity residence.
As per the police report, the student identified as John Howard was the individual found.
Jace Lux, university spokesperson, confirmed the student's passing and urged students impacted by this loss to seek assistance.
“We have been informed of the tragic loss of a student at an off-campus fraternity residence,” Lux conveyed via email yesterday. “While the authorities continue their investigation, there is no suspicion of foul play at present.
WKU is actively supporting students affected by this loss and encourages anyone in need of counseling to contact the WKU Counseling Center at 270-745-3159. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the student's family, friends, and loved ones.”
